Kheema Mutter is a North Indian non-vegetarian dish made with minced mutton or lamb, which they have with North Indian Parathas. You can have your own additions to this dish to make it more delicious. Try out this version of Kheema Mutter and enjoy with Naan or Parathas.
500 gms Mince/Kheema
1 cup Green peas.
1 black cardamom
1 star anise
4 green cardamom
3 2” cinnamon
1 big onion
3 Green chillies slit
3 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
4 teaspoon coriander
2 teaspoon Chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1/4 cup tomato puree
1 bunch Mint
2 tablespoon butter
Salt to taste
Chop onion. slit green chilies. Wash and drain the green peas.
Heat a pan and add the whole spices. Let it sizzle up and release the aroma.
Add the chopped onions. Saute till tender and pink.
Add the green chilies and give a stir, followed by the ginger garlic paste. Saute till fragrant.
Add the mince and keep stirring till it changes to a pale color.
Now add the spice powders and keep stirring till well combined.
Add salt and tomato puree and mix well. Keep the lid on and cook till done and dry.
In a frying pan, melt the butter. Add the green peas and saute on high flame till dark green in color and aromatic. Add half the mint teared. Take out off the stove.
Add he peas to the cooked mince and give a thorough mix.
Keep on minimum flame to infuse the spices and mince flavor in the green peas.
Garnish with mint leaves and serve hot with parathas or naan.
